Several different organizations came together on November 14, 2009, to plant native trees to restore riparian habitat along the Skagit River at Howard Miller Steelhead Park. Led by the Skagit Fisheries Enhancement Group, other organizations included the Skagit Parks Foundation, Starbucks Make Your Mark program, Skagit County Healthy Communities, Watershed Masters, Skagit Environmental Club of Skagit Valley Community College and very generous hard working volunteers. We had 42 volunteers and we planted over 1,000 native trees. THANK YOU to everyone!
